Details of how Moseley Forum operates, including our constitution and policies (including data protection, safeguarding) can be found here.

There are two versions of these documents available here.

The first set is the revised and reviewed documents proposed to be accepted by the Moseley Forum EGM meeting on 26th November 2024.

The second set are the drafts with proposed amendments as shown by the blue high lights.

Constitutional change to membership

Note that there is a proposal for a significant change to Moseley Forum’s membership arrangement. For the last 25 years of its existence, “membership” of the Moseley Forum was defined as “Anyone living, trading or serving the community within the ward boundary of Moseley and aged over 16 shall be considered a member of the Forum.”

This has been considered to cause difficulties, as many people would be members without knowing they are. So, the committee is proposing to change this to an “opt in” arrangement whereby people living or working in Moseley are eligible to be members, but members would be only those people who have “subscribed to The Forum’s mailing list via the website, or submitted their request to become a member in writing.

In the revised membership proposal, Moseley Forum Members (those that register) shall have a commitment to furthering the Forum’s purpose. This was not previously the expectation of a member.

More detail in the constitution documents below. In the proposed revision for 26 Nov 2024, membership is addressed in the Definitions and in section 5. In the previous versions (up to July 2024) membership is addressed in Section 4.
