LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR
Love your Neighbour is a movement to inspire our society at this time of uncertainty, fear, anger and vulnerability. The first event in Birmingham was in Victoria Square on Friday 1 July. The movement recognises that some people, particularly immigrants of whatever background and however long standing in Britain, are at present liable to being victims of acts and feelings of animosity, racism and even violence. In the name of hope and peace in our city this movement makes a stand against fear and intimidation on our streets and in public places. See https://www.loveyourneighbour.org
In response there will be a simple act of friendliness and witness on Moseley Village Green – by the central cross roads – on Saturday, July 9th from 12.30-1pm. It is about aiming to work in partnership, respect and good relationships with everyone of whatever religious or secular background
This Saturday’s event is organised by Moseley Inter Faith Forum (MIFF)-comprised in principle of Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh members -with support from Birmingham Humanists, Moseley Society, Moseley Forum, Moseley Festival and Moseley Community Development Trust
