RE: Camp Hill Line Stations – Spring / Summer 2025 Update

Dear Stakeholder,
As we move closer to the exciting delivery of the new Camp Hill Line railway stations, we wanted to provide you with an important update regarding our working times.

Firstly, we’re thrilled to share some recent progress that highlights just how far we’ve come. As you may have seen in the media recently, or on Transport for West Midlands’s social media feeds, it’s been a truly milestone period for the project with works at Moseley Village, Kings Heath, and Pineapple Road are progressing at pace.

We’ve seen significant achievements, including the near completion of lift shaft cladding at Kings Heath station along with the installation of the final lift shaft needed for the route at Moseley Village. These milestones are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved and signify our rapid approach to the final stages of delivery and we once again thank you for your patience as we and our partners have been completing this activity.

To maintain this momentum, particularly as we move into the crucial fit-out and final construction phases for the new stations, there will be a necessary adjustment to our working hours. Currently, most construction activity for the three new railway stations takes place during daytime hours on both weekday and weekend working.

Beginning from Monday 2 June, you may notice an increase in our working hours, with more regular work taking place until 23:00 hrs. Please note, that this may occur on both weekdays and weekends and is anticipated to continue for the remainder of the project’s delivery.

We understand that extended working hours can sometimes cause inconvenience, and we want to assure you that our team remains fully committed to minimising any disruption to the community. We will implement additional measures to control noise, dust, and other potential impacts. For example, our delivery partner will be using acoustic barriers to lessen the amount of noise which carries and scheduling the loudest construction work during daytime working hours. Please rest assured, that your comfort and well-being remain a top priority throughout this final phase of the project.

We are incredibly excited about bringing these new stations to life, reconnecting the Camp Hill Line to passenger services after 80 years. Your continued patience and understanding as we complete this transformative project are greatly appreciated.
