In what will be music to the ears of Birmingham residents, today the Unite union and Birmingham City Council announced that the bin strike had been suspended after terms had been agreed following negotiations through ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service).
Many of you may be wondering what this means for our bin collections here in Moseley. The official line is that collections will return to their pre-strike frequency so for most of Moseley, this means collections will return to every Friday but there may be continued disruption to rotas. If you are out of sequence with fortnightly recycling and the paid for fortnightly garden waste collections then you are advised to check via the following City Council website page:
