SUSMO AND ST MARY’S CHURCH NEED YOUR HELP

LATEST UPDATE:
Copies of the letters and emails received by July 15th about the appeal have been sent to the appellant, Professor John Dowell, and to the City Council. They are able to comment, before August 5th, on points raised in the correspondence received.

An Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate in Bristol will then visit Moseley and a report will be written, giving a judgement about the installation of the panels. It is hoped that this will be received in September.

SusMo would like to make it clear that the decision to install Photo Voltaic panels on the south facing nave roof was made by the Parish Church Council before SusMo came into existence.

The church applied for Planning Permission entirely independently of the British Gas Green Streets project.

After SusMo won the Green Streets award, St Mary's Church became a very active and valued partner organisation in the project.

There has been considerable press interest in the appeal, including:

An article in the Birmingham Mail on June 10th, “Church Solar Panel Appeal”, asked readers to write to with their comments.
